Catalog Description :  Organization of a computer. Hardware and software components. Disc operating system and file system. Text editors and word processors. Abstract levels. Introduction to LATEX. Viruses and the Internet. Spreadsheets (Excel). Number systems. Algorithmic approach to problem solving, flow charts. Introduction to programming with Java, data types, numerical data exchange, character data exchange, dynamic data input, selection rules, repetition structures.
